The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has unveiled world’s first Online Global Atlas of Renewable Energy Resources. The Atlas, launched on 13th of January 2013, aims to assess the renewable energy sources on global scale as it collects data from leading research institutes. Currently, the Atlas simulates solar and wind resources, and will expand to other forms of renewable energy over 2013 and 2014” says IRENA. The Atlas is available and can be viewed on IRENA website.a
