The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE), based in Praia, Cape Verde, is a specialized ECOWAS agency mandated to promote an enabling environment for the adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency technology in West Africa. ECREEE’s activities has been focused on mitigating existing barriers hindering the deployment of RE and EE technologies in the ECOWAS Region. This also includes addressing the lack of knowledge and information barriers in the energy sector.

As part of its strategy to improve and maintain this platform, ECREEE is seeking to recruit a Data Expert to support the ECOWREX activities under the umbrella of a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The Data Expert would contribute towards achieving the goals of ECOWREX, by developing regular insights and improving of standards and strategy, to drive its business results.
He/she will also advise and assist ECREEE on general issues related to data collection and management.
Specific Data Expert will
Minimum educational requirement: university degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, energy, renewable energy or similar field.
Experience:
Languages: Fluent in English (knowledge of French and Portuguese is an asset);
Computer skills: Computer operations and concepts (Fully proficient), E-mail (proficient), Internet (proficient), Spreadsheets (Fully proficient), Word processing (Fully proficient).
ECREEE Secretariat in Achada Santo António, Praia, Cabo Verde
Travels within and outside the country might be required. ECREEE shall be responsible for providing a return air tickets and per diem for any field mission undertaken during his assignment in line with ECOWAS travel policy.
